Dr. Frédéric FABRY was born in Le Cannet, France, in 1971. He received the Mechanical Engineer Degree from Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Saint-Etienne, the DEA Degree from Ecole Centrale de Lyon and the Ph.D Degree from University of Perpignan, France, in 1994, 1994 and 1999, respectively. Since 1996, he has been involved in research and development of plasma technologies applied to the synthesis of carbon nanostructures such as carbon black, fullerene and carbon nanotubes. 3 years ago, he joined the research group in the carbon black department of TIMCAL BELGIUM S.A. (formerly Erachem Comilog S.A.) - Background : plasma processing, carbon blacks, fullerenes, carbon based nanotubes, gas chromatography, plasma diagnostics (emission spectroscopy, optical pyrometry), material characterisation (Transmission Electronic Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electronic Microscopy (SEM), Photoelectron Microscopy (XPS), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD)).
